Minnesota candidates make final pitches on election's eve

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Candidates up and down the ballot are making the rounds across Minnesota for a final pitch to voters.

Monday's scheduled was packed full of campaign events from Minneapolis to Morris. Minnesota voters are selecting a new governor and two U.S. Senators along with deciding a handful of competitive congressional elections and control of the Minnesota Legislature in Tuesday's midterm elections.

Democratic candidates like gubernatorial hopeful Tim Walz, attorney general candidate Keith Ellison and U.S. Sen. Tina Smith were set to host a get-out-the-vote rally at a Minneapolis cultural center Monday morning.

Republican candidate for governor Jeff Johnson was crisscrossing the state on a final tour, with stops planned in Morris, Willmar, Blaine and more.
